ABOUT ME

I earned my bachelor's degree in accounting from George Mason University in 2016 and gained over two years of valuable experience in a dynamic and deadline-driven public accounting firm. I have proactively handled tax notices from various government agencies, provided prompt and knowledgeable responses to effectively resolve issues. I have counseled clients on delinquent tax payments, offering guidance to help them navigate tax obligations successfully.

In my career, I've have successfully addressed tax and business-related questions of varying complexities, along with completing tax returns of various levels of intricacy. Additionally, I have more than three years of experience managing accounting staff, overseeing functions such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing, payroll, and human resources. I've have also successfully executed accounting software migrations, ensuring smooth transitions from one system to another.

As a board member of a non-profit, I have collaborate with colleagues to make strategic executive decisions for the company's growth and success. I developed and established the annual budget, aligning financial resources with organizational goals and priorities. I ensured the accurate and timely preparation of month-end and year-end financial statements.

During my four years as a controller at a government contractor, I effectively oversaw critical functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, human resources, and purchasing. Doing so involved ensuring seamless operations and adherence to established policies and procedures. I delivered comprehensive financial analysis and reports to top-level management, providing valuable insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making. I consistently prepared accurate and well-organized month-end and year-end financial statements, contributing to the timely completion of financial reporting and analysis.

I have actively participated in high-level management meetings, engaging in strategic discussions on complex matters, and offering valuable input and perspective to drive informed decision-making.

I am a native of Fredericksburg and have spent most of my life in the area. I am also the son of a Navy Veteran and a Mental Health Counselor. In my youth I have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in 2007 from Troop 835 of the Boy Scouts of America. I enjoy golfing, bowling, video games, and working out.
